Great job to all who fought the Balrog today. It is great to see forward progress! I am confident that our lack of the hope buff is affecting our success more than anything else so I'd like to schedule the fight at a time when we can share a hope chain pop with another kin. Please reply with availability times on the weekend so I can try to do this. Thanks.

Perhaps we could even do it (balrog) during a weekday evening? I'm rather flexable (espcially since I'm a few hours ahead of some of you).

Sure. If you'd like to include weekday availability that would be great.

During the days on Saturday and Sunday are tough for me, because it's really hit or miss. Evenings are always better for me personally. Maybe start rift run on Friday night? Would give you 3 solid days to hit the Balrog. Any way, just a thought.

I would be all for trying the Balrog on a weekday night. I like how the system works now except for the four or five hours on Saturday. That is tough with a family and all. Maybe do through Narnublat on Saturday, the twins and Thrang Sunday, and the Balrog some weekday evening. Could someone please explain how you get the hope chain. I really think we need this to finish him off.

@ Baelric ~ The hope chain is a drop from the Balrog himself. It completes a quest like the sword of thrang. When you turn it in to Glorfindel it grants a +3 hope buff for 3 hours that stacks with other hope. So with a +5 token you can have a total of 8. This counters the balrog's 10 dread. If you are standing near Glorfindel wen another kin turns in the chain, you still get the buff. Problem is noone is turning in when we do our runs, so we need to look at changing our time. I know with the hope buff, that we could kick the Balrog's ace.

Monday nights there is usually a hope pop at around 8 or 9 ET. Wednesday nights there are usually several hope pops - around 8:00 ET. I usually go with Wulfhen and Co on Wednesday nights and we rarely have to pop our own. The Rift resets for everyone at approx 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday night/early Thursday morning, hence why Wed is a good day to do the Rog.
For me personally, I would be happy to try ONLY the Balrog fights on a weeknight but I would not be able to stay up past 11:00 or so.
I like doing the rest of the Rift on Sat and Sunday, as I am usually too tired to do much on weeknights.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays after 3pm MST are the best for me. Saturdays are entirely no go, and Thursdays are very busy.

Any day is pretty much ok for me. Just sign me up as reserve though. My tolerance for raiding is nil. I'll come fill a spot if we need it but if I start doing it every time then I'm going to have a psychotic episode and eat the wasd keys off my keyboard.
