Couple of things to ponder for you all.
1. The website is moving. It's going to have a new look to it. Now whether this is through a guild portal type access or not, has not been decided. I for one do like the guild portal style of website for many reason, one of the biggest is ease of use, maintenance, and upgrade availability. Also it enables us to ally with other kins through the website and easier navigate to their sites also. One thing you may want to think about as we begin to move forward is your roll in the kinship. One of the points that Nick made last night in the kin meeting was the need for officers. Just basic post really, recruitment, raid and instance coordinator, role-play, etc. I know our members are fewer atm, but I am looking forward to new members joining and existing members staying. But I am not naive either. I appreciate the honesty of the members who were at the kin meeting last night concerning their staying in the kin. A basic wait and see was the general consensus. Which I have no problem with at all. I think we are all in a state of "Deer in the headlights" look right now. But I will say this, if you have no inclination to stay and you really don't desire to be in this kinship anymore, and you really feel like there is a another kinship out there that is going to better suit your needs, then by all means, please go. I am not pushing anyone out the door here, but if your not happy here, then I don't really see the point in "Waiting to see what happens", because to me, that's speaking failure into the process already. You have an expectation of the things going down hill, but you want to see the car wreck happen. And just to make this clear, most everyone that was part of the meeting last night, was willing to be positive in their waiting.
I told her last night, but I expected Gilli to be the next one to go, only because I know that she was close to the ones who left. But she is one of the brighter stars for the kinship moving forward and rebuilding, so I wanted to personally apologize to her for my assumption and thank her for her enthusiasm. Also I told her, please give us a chance to rebuild and get things moving forward. I am here to support Nick in whatever effort and move he wants to do concerning the kinship. Why? Simple, we have great people in this kinship and I think it's worth saving. Rose coming back is a big plus in my book, because she is one of the most upbeat people I have ever met in this game and love grouping with her and Eli...which ELI COME BACK!
Anyway, I for one am looking forward to the kin rebounding and moving forward. Thanks to those who have decided to stay and put effort into the kin, and I bless and pray safe journey to those who have decided to move on
