All the members of Ilúvatar's Helm are advised to keep an eye out for a deranged hobbit that has been seen following and spying on members. He is dressed in dirty light green clothing and is given to nervous ticks and mutterings. He seems generally confused and had trouble telling man and elf from goblins.
He was first discovered breaking into the kinhouse and going through peoples possessions. When confronted he attempted to run and could only be restrained for so long before escaping. So far he has done no real harm to anyone but his intentions remain unknown.

Lady Nimlaeth and I were enjoying an evening in the Shire when she was startled by a rustling of the shrubbery nearby. I sensed spying eyes upon me, and as I approached a shadowy figure lept over me with a fawn's quickness and scampered off into the wooded area behind the homesteads.
If this was the same hobbit, he seems harmless enough.. but I suspect if desperation takes hold he could quickly turn to more evil measures.
*smokes pipe* ..What could he possibly want?

Again the strange hobbit stalks us...
We happened upon him while trimming the goblins' numbers in their homes far to the north in the Misty Mountains. Nimlaeth, Ithaca, and myself had taken station there briefly when as if a ghost, "Tiktok" (as we have named him on account of the constant uttering of the words) materialized from a shadow within the deep caverns.
Again we questioned him of his motives for stalking us, and although his mutterings were none less the mad than our last encounter, we were able to ascertain clearly that he seemed to be working under someone within our ranks. Jinrah.
As quickly as I had dispatched Nimlaeth back to Falathlorn to summon Jinah to my side and perhaps get to the bottom of this, Tiktok vanished again deep into the catacombs of the misty mountains.
We ride now back to our homeland with an ever watchful eye on the trail we leave behind us.

Sojin: *Looks around the room with a slight smirk on his face. His eyes fixed on thornspine's movements.* I know who you all are so jittered by.*Stands up and walks haughtily over to the window, peering out into the night.* He works for my brother. *grinning slightly* I think you know whom i'm speaking of too. *As if purposely dramatic, he walks from the room and into the shadows*

Poor little fellow, I feel sorry for him all alone with no one to talk to and understand him. Sneaking around in the shadows and caves watching the normal people go about their busy.
Wait that reminds me of someone.....oh yeah me!
Your anti-social burglar is here to serve in anyway needed, as long as it doesn't involve any type of lengthy conversations.

While I was standing in the last homely house this happened to me...
Tiktok stares at Psychee with crazed eyes. Tiktok says, 'Tik Tok Tik'
Could this be related? Who can say....

While the return of Jinrah has left many unanswered questions in regard to the Dark Champion, it has given new insight to the history of the strange hobbit.
Captain Nickelos who has also returned following his own investigation has related the sad tale to Thornspine, Ithica, and Nimlaeth. It involved a once talented tracker and woodsman named Toomis Took who worked as a scout at the behest of Jinrah and Nickelos back in the days of their goblin hunting commissions. The Took was truly gifted goblin hunter and was a great asset for two of them until an encounter with a blade of dire origin corrupted his mind. Now unable to tell friend from foe the Mad Took has wandered about surfacing only when his madness was most severe so that he could speak with Jinrah whom for unknown reasons seems able to clear the hobbit's mind.
What happens next is still unknown. The fact that the Mad Took has been spotted in area's near to the shire is most troubling as he always retained enough sense to avoid endangering his fellow small folk. Can the Took be saved or is he to far gone for even Jinrah's presence to calm his madness.
